Eddy and one of his hens

Eddy is tame, he lets me still pet him. I hand raised him and nursed him through a green stick leg fracture and lose neck. The hen is a Splash Marans laying dark brown eggs.

Maybe this year a taste

The Dragon Fruit cactus is getting ready to bloom. I am looking forward to the beauty and fragrance of the 8" white bloom. And maybe this year I will be lucky to get my first fruit.

Flowering Mustard

I can look at these flowers all day long and watch the bees going from flower to flower. I look at weeds as not named herbs, they all have a purpose.
I enjoy the clear yellow each spring, it shows up so nicely next to the large boulders.

Meet Whitie, my white leghorn

Every morning, she flies over the fence of the chicken area and greets me, being the first to fly up the bowl of feed I am carrying in my arm, getting the first pick, while I am walking to the fenced chicken area. There they all are getting me. I am appreciative, that I am able to feed non GMO chicken feed and distilled water.

A beautiful Rosa Mundi Rose

This rose only flowers once a year, it dates back to 1589, I believe. This is the first bloom of the year. I have been waiting an entire year with anticipation, for this beautiful rose to delight the day.

My first Eden Rose

Every day when I look at my garden, I can find something to appreciate. I love the fragrance and colors. This one is also a first time flower, another delightful gift

My first Minnie Royal Cherry

My very first and only Minnie Royal Cherry. What a surprise and delight! Until next year.
